Bind offs:

Bring 2 swatches—Cast on 50 stitches, knit 3 rows. Leave both swatches on the needles

Make 2 swatches of 20 stitches in stockinette stitch. Leave on the needles.

Fixing common mistakes

Bring the following swatches:

Cast on 20 stitches. Work 10 rows stockinette. Do not bind off.

Cast on 22 stitches.

Row 1: (k2, p2) repeat to last 2 stitches, k2

Row 2: (p2, k2) repeat to last 2 stitches, p2

Repeat rows 1 & 2 five times. Do not bind off.

Tinking, Frogging

Bring the following swatches:

Cast on 20 stitches. Work 10 rows stockinette. Do not bind off.

Cast on 22 stitches.

Row 1: Purl across.

Row 2: k1, (k2tog, yo) repeat to last stitch, k1.

Worsted weight wool: at least 25 yds each of 3 colors, plus 50 yards of main

Cast on 20 stitches in main color. Work 4 rows stockinette. Do not bind off.

Bring the following swatch:

Cast on 30 stitches.

Row 1: p5, k6, p5, k9, p5

Row 2: k5, p9, k5, p6, k5

Repeat rows 1 and 2 three times. Do not bind off
